It is New Zealand’s native flightless bird . 2.  The country is part of the Pacific Rim of Fire and its most active volcano is Mount Ruapehu, found in the middle of the North Island. 3. The Auckland City Sky Tower is the tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere at 328 meters high.

  1. Hi Jordy

Welcome to the Summer Learning Journey for the 2018 summer. My name is Allie and I am the cluster manager for Toki Pounamu and I will be commenting on your blog over the summer. I am really looking forward to reading your posts.
Well done for completing you first post. Remember that they need to be in your own words each time.

We are lucky to live in a pretty cool place like New Zealand. There are so many cool things to see and do here. You talking about kiwi fruit actually makes me a little hungry. I like kiwi fruit. Do you?
Have you been to Auckland before? I have and I really enjoyed going up the sky tower. It is so high and you can see so far from up there. I walked on the glass floor which was really scary. Everything looked so small on the ground below.

Also remember to make your post at least 3 sentences long and you can add colour and images to make them more interesting for people to read.

Keep up the good work and enjoy your last days at school this year!

    Until next time

    Allie :)
